He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Hughes and Addie Hughes (Thatcher); his wives, Miss Jean Francis Stoll and Joyce R. Kunz; his siblings-in-law, Donald Stoll, David Thorud and Bonnie Stoll; and his stepson David Kunz.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Hughes (Janet), Denver, MaryBeth Scavo (Ron), Blaine and Terry Hughes (Joy); his grandchildren, Marc Scavo, Blaine, Angela Kokesh (Steve), Ramsey, Melinda van Eijmeren (Arjen), Calif, Daniel Hughes (Lauren), Ann Arbor and Mich; his great grandchildren, Megan Jean Kokesh, Anna Kokesh, Molly Kokesh, Adelaide Hughes and Lyla Hughes; his sibling's children, Tom Stoll (Patricia) and Kathy Miller (Gerald); and his stepdaughter Cynthia Kunz.
