He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Swonger and Ethel Swonger; his wife Ida Lee; his siblings, Bill Swonger, Walter 'Buster' Swonger, Elsie Usselman (Lawrence) and Ethel 'Scal' Hathaway; his brothers-in-law, Charlie Hathaway, Gene Lawrence, Lefty Usselman, Joseph Blair, Al Dubois and Custer Foster; his nephews, Raymond Hathaway, Sam Hathaway, Delmer Clayton, Terry Lawrence and James Lawrence; and his close friend JoAnne.
He is survived by: his brothers, Buster, Raymond and Charlie; his children, Leroy Swonger of Chippewa Falls, WI, Marvin Swonger of Superior, Janice Wurtinger (Matt) of Luck, WI, Donna Young (Doug) of Roberts, WI and Ethel Merzwski (Cary) of Superior; his grandchildren, Angela Stinski (James), Amanda Swonger, Kimberly Swonger, Kenna Degner (Brandon) and Emilee Organ; his sisters, Dorothy DuBois and Wilma 'Tookie' Foster; and his sisters-in-law, Grace Swonger and Sue Swonger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and infinite cousins.
