He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schuster and Anna Schuster (Silber); his wife Betty Sutherland; and his siblings, Ralph, Violet and Shirley.

He is survived by: his son James E. Schuster; his grandsons, James J. Schuster and Kyle M. Schuster (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Tailor Schuster of Superior, Kayleigh Johnson (Aaron) of Superior and Payton Schuster of Superior; his great great grandchild Brantley Johnson; and his sister Florence of Burke, VA..

Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held at Downs Funeral Home, burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hawthorne, WI.
