He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Stacy South (Lee) of Esko, MN, Gerald Matson (Beth) of Duluth, James Matson of Superior, Philip Matson (Sara) of Superior and Travis Wachsmuth (Rebecca) of Superior; his brothers, Harold Matson (Carole) and Ronald Matson of Duluth; and his pet Trooper. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
