He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Mather and Gladys Mather (Calhoun); his son James C. Mather, Jr.; and his sister Mary Pat Mueller (Mather). He is survived by: his wife Jean Ann Zeimet; and his sons, Scott Mather (Jeanette) and Michael Mather (Linda). He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
