She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Cairns and Pearl Cairns (Briggs); and her brother Ronald Cairns. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Alfred "Fred" Flatten; her sons, Alfred Flatten IV (Georgeann), Jeffrey Flatten (Beth) and Mark Flatten (Amy); her grandchildren, Leighann Mensen (Tony), Brittany VanVliet (Niels), Matthew Flatten, Abby Flatten, Emily Koeppel (Damien), Rachel Flatten, Alfred Flatten V, Jonas Flatten and Allison Flatten; her great grandchildren, Natalie Mensen and Billie VanVliet; her sister Ardene LaChapelle; and her pet Sassy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
