He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Banks and Louis Banks; and his siblings, Beatrice Berwald, Dallas, Marv, Ray and Lowell Banks.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Miller; his sisters, Marvel Swanson (Ray) of Solon Springs and Eva Wermter of Superior; and his sister-in-law Darnell Banks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially his friends.
