He was predeceased by : his parents, Anna 'Annie' (Pechacek) and John Weiss; and his siblings, Frank, Harold, Opal and Grace.

He is survived by : his wife Lois Shears; his children, Judy Weiss of Superior, Bob Weiss (Denise) of Duluth and Theresa Weiss of Superior; his grandchildren, David, Richard, Dennis Nordlund, Kristina, Danielle and Samuel Weiss; and his sister-in-law Delia Weiss.
