It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Bartylla Mikel of Superior, Wisconsin, born in Browerville, Minnesota, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Bartylla and Frances Bartylla (Twardowski); her husband Michael Mikel (Mike); her son James; and her siblings, Adeline Dorosh, Arthur and Emil Bartylla (Elvis).
She is survived by: her brothers, Art and Elvis; her daughter Sandra Bailey (Michael); her daughter-in-law Becky Mikel; her children, Kevin Mikel (Susan), Terrence Mikel and Nancy Przybylowski (Michael); her grandchildren, Brett Bailey (Kristina), Brooke Bailey, Bart Bailey, Carl Mikel, Kyle Mikel, Steven Mikel, Gerald Mikel, Richard Mikel and Daniel Mikel; her great grandchild James; and her sister Virginia Herkenhoff (Jean). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID19, a private Mass of Christian burial is planned at Cathedral Christ the King with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
