He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh F. McKay and Violet McKay; his children, Denise Schmid, Jimmy and Scotty McKay; and his siblings, James, Tom, Jack McKay, Margaret McKay and Marie Kuznia.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Jamie East of Danbury, Patrick McKay of Columbus, OH and Todd McKay (Cheryl) of Superior; his brother Hugh McKay; his sisters-in-law, Katherine 'Kitty Krisak and Violet 'Sis' Stariha (Phil); his son-in-law Jim Schmid; and his pet Brutus. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
