It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar W. Rakow of Suring, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edgar W. Rakow to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rakow and Lillie Rakow (Pahlow); his parents-in-law, Vernon and Cleo Colson; his son Edward Rakow; his great grandchild Eliot Rakow; his siblings, Roland Rakow (Betty), Arnold Rakow (Norma) and Frieda Carow; and his brothers-in-law, Eliot "Fritz" Elfe and Jerry Cudworth.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Colson; his children, Walter Rakow (Laura), Steve Rakow (Donna), Linda Rakow-Schenkoske, Beth Rizk (Ghyass), Naomi Bergner (Jeff), Douglas Rakow (Elizabeth) and Susan Strehlow (Craig); his daughter-in-law Danielle Rakow; his grandchildren, Aaron (Nicole), Katie (Bryan), Nathan (Katie), Jacob (Katie), Daniel (Misty), Justin, Ashley (Carl), Todd (Erin), Kelly, Jesse (Dani), Josey (Kelly), Andrea (Danny), Brian (Amanda), Jennifer, Brittany, Tiffany, William, Douglas Jr., Joseph, Max and Mikayla; his siblings, Margaret Elfe, Irene Cudworth, Ruby Bruns (Paul), Althea Scheuttpelz (Alger), Alice Bahn (Stan), Ruben Rakow (Cathy), Helen Heimerl (Ray) and Hilbert Rakow (Delores); and his brother-in-law Daniel Carow. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
