Jeffrey Patrick Cawley Obituary
Jeffrey Patrick Cawley, age 69, of Sussex, WI, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2025.
Born and raised in Sussex, Jeff was a graduate of Sussex Hamilton High School. He spent his life grounded in the values of hard work, family, and enjoying the little things that made life rich. For the past 44 years, he shared his life and love with his loving wife, Jean (Scherbarth), at their cherished 6-acre homestead. It was there that Jeff found joy in the simple pleasures-bird watching, hunting, and being surrounded by nature. Jeff also had a passion for fishing and golf, hobbies he enjoyed throughout his life.
Jeff was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his children Danielle (Brian) Williams, Valerie (Dylan) Sessler, and Jason Cawley; and his adored grandchildren: Avery, Isabelle, Adeline, Emilia, Madison, Mackenzie, and Montana. He is also survived by his siblings Mark and Cindy (Trafton) along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rosemary; his sister Debbie; father-in-law Wayne; sister-in-law Jean; and nephews Jeremy and Eric.
Jeff's legacy is one of quiet strength, unwavering love for his family, and an appreciation for the world around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visitation for Jeff will be held at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls on Saturday April 26 from 10 AM until 12 Noon. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Eric Scherbarth Leukemia Research Foundation (https://www.eslrf.org) as this organization is near and dear to their hearts.
