Kay Elizabeth Rady Obituary

Of Sussex, surrounded by family, went home with grace and peace on October 23, 2025, at age 83.

Born June 11, 1942, in Wausau, WI, to Lloyd "Lloydie" and Elizabeth "Betty" Riemer, Kay grew up on a Marathon City (Little Chicago) farm. Early chores taught her diligence; lifelong kindness shaped her heart.

For years, she served as Activity Director at Menomonee Falls Health Care Center, bringing joy to residents and staff with her warmth and care. Polished and proper—red lipstick always perfect—she greeted every day ready to help.

Kay filled her home with love and celebration, turning every holiday into magic, especially Christmas, when twinkling lights danced across every surface and the scent of fresh pine welcomed all. She baked and cooked with fierce devotion, filling tables for family, friends, and anyone who knocked.

Her children were her greatest treasure—she loved them fiercely, would move mountains for them, and wrapped them in a lifetime of unwavering care. Her gentle laugh and open arms drew people close; her memory will live in every shared meal and glowing light.

Kay will be dearly missed by her children, Arthur A. Montini, Perry J. Montini, Kristen K. (Anthony Schupp) Montini; grandkids, Anthony (Samantha) Montini, Ashley Montini, Hannah (Fiancé Nicholas Hicks) Montini; great-grandkids, Jonah, Adalyn, Audrey, Amelia, Aurora, Reagan, Jacob, Broderick, Alaina "Blondie", McKinley, Frankie Jo; sister, Heather (Drew) Wallace; long time friend, Sharon Mentsch, and her dear and precious fur babies, her dogs; and other relatives and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald E. Rady; parents, Lloyd and Betty; sister, Cheryl, and brother, Ross.

The visitation for Kay will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4PM until the time of the service at 7PM at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Sussex.
