Kenneth P. Wentland Obituary
Kenneth P. "Ken" Wentland of Sussex, age 69, after a short, unexpected illness, with his wife by his side, went to his heavenly home on May 23, 2025. Ken was born in Milwaukee on May 3, 1956, the son of John and Tommie Wentland. He married his best friend, Susen Herms on January 12, 1985. A dedicated employee, he worked for over forty years in landscaping. Making their home in Sussex, they became active in the community and could often be found teaching ski lessons at Ausblick, Little Switz, and various other ski hills. Ken loved being outdoors, walking the dogs in Menomonee Park, or playing a game of ice hockey. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. Beloved husband of Susen Wentland (nee Herms); brother of Mary "B-Bo"; brother-in-law to Dan (Liz) Herms; dear friend of Mark Regal, Bill Wong, Al, and Jerry Watt. Ken is further survived by other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Scott Lehman; and his dogs, Sandy, Rosie, Rubie, and Riva.
The Memorial Service for Ken will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, N59 W22476 Silver Spring Dr. in Sussex at 6PM. Visitation will be held from 5PM until the time of Service at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. The burial will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield (please meet in the red parking area.)
