Scott Allen Gilbert Obituary
Passed away surrounded by family on June 10, 2025, at the age of 66.
Adoring husband of Diane Hare. Proud dad of Morgan Gilbert and Audra Daniloff. Brother of Patricia (Jim) Meadows. Favorite "brother" of Mike & Donna Bender. Son-in-law of Mary Ellen Hare. Further survived by other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Gilbert, and his siblings Donna and Mike Gilbert.
Scott lived life with a vibrant spirit and an infectious energy that touched everyone around him. A true lover of the simple joys in life, he was rarely seen without a sweet treat in hand, a classic tune playing in the background, or one of his dashing hats perched just right. His home was always filled with music, laughter, and the comforting bowl of pasta. An avid golfer with a soft spot for sports cars and military history, Scott had a remarkable way of blending fun with thoughtfulness. He had an impeccable sense of humor, a deep well of patience, and a charm that lit up every room. He had a deep love for his many dogs over the years, who were more like family than pets. Whether traveling the world, enjoying a peaceful day on the green, or simply savoring a quiet moment, Scott embraced every second with gratitude. He believed life was meant to be lived fully and joyfully, and he did exactly that—with a positive outlook, a steadfast work ethic, and a heart full of love.
A visitation will be held on July 19, 2025, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home (W250 N6505 Hwy 164 Sussex, WI 53089) from 1pm until time of service at 3pm.
