He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Carstensen and Estelle Carstensen (Vaughn); his brothers, Danny Carstensen and Dusty Carstensen; and his siblings-in-law, David Silva and Carol Carstensen.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Carstensen; his children, Scott Carstensen (Linda), Gina Kurth (Kenny) and Shannon Mikunda (Jack); his siblings, Lawrence "Chick" Carstensen, Ward Carstensen (Sandy), Nesta Hodge (Rollie), Myrtle "Mick" Silva and Wilda Skubal (Steve); and his sister-in-law Mary Carstensen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
