He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Kirkbride and Betty Kirkbride (Little); his wife Anna; and his stepsons, Kevin, Chris and Jay.
He is survived by: his former wife Annie Nehlsen; his stepson Edward Sadowski (Shirley) of Tuscola, IL; his grandchildren, Justin and Jennine; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Wyatt and Isla.
