He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kowalski and Josephine Kowalski (Golla); his daughter Barbara; his siblings, Ed, Jerome, Rose, Jean, Dorothy, Patricia and Irene; and his siblings-in-law, John Volkert and Adrianne Swingen.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kowalski; his children, Sharon McMurray, Marie Hoener (Rich), Mike Kowalski (Sandy), Brian Kowalski and Diane Stieghorst (Tony); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Volkert (Nancy), Paul Volkert (Tricia), Steve Volkert (Joni), Ellaine Puls (Ken), Karen Langdon (Rick) and Sue Volkert. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
