She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Merkey and Anna Merkey (Hanke); her former husband Orin Freeman; her siblings, Lester Merkey (Margie), Lona Freeman (Orin), Fredrick Merkey, Isabelle Jacobson (Robert) and Elaine Trapp (LeRoy); her daughter-in-law Sally Freeman; her mother-in-law Mariane Kempken; and her close friend Missy.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Kempken, Sr. of Tomahawk; her children, Ricky Freeman (Cinthia) of Arizona, Randy Freeman of Omro, Anna Kurtz (Richard) of Adams Friendship, WI, Diane Halverson (Gary) of Omro and Ronald Freeman (Jessica) of Tomahawk; her stepchildren, Eugene Kempken, Jr. (Robbie) of Menasha, WI, Greg Kempken of Delavan, WI, Cyndi Mothy (DuWayne) of West Bend, WI and Jason Kempken of Delavan; and her sister-in-law Lynda Stuber (Joe). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18-great grandchildren, along with 4 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild.
