He is survived by: his wife Julie Thompson of Tomahawk; his children, Kinsey Thompson (Kelechi Anyanwu) of Milwaukee, Kaetlyn Thompson (Bre Holtorf) of Tomahawk and Keaton Thompson of Tomahawk; and his siblings, Roger Thompson (Peggy) of Tomahawk, Dorothy Grawien (Rodney) of Merrill, Jean Tessmer (Dennis) of Tomahawk and Donna Hermsen (Dan O'Brien) of Madison.
