He was predeceased by : his parents, William Kirwan and Ruth Kirwan (Roberts); his wife Sandra Kirwan; and his sister Evelyn Martin. He is survived by : his sons, James Kirwan Jr., Keith Kirwan (Shannon), Mark Keaty and Brent Keaty; his grandchildren, Alex, Christopher, Kyla, Abbigal and Lilyan Kirwan; his great grandchildren, Abel and Rowan Kirwan; his nephew Andrew Martin; and his niece Sarah Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim's honor can be made to the family.
