He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Karen; his daughter Hannah Vagasky (Christopher); his parents, Robert J. Barnes and Joyce Barnes; and his brother Jeffrey Barnes (late Suzanne). He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A vigil service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Bevsek-Verbick Funeral Home (10210 W Lincoln Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53227). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mother of Perpetual Help Church (2322 S 106th St, West Allis, WI 53227).
