Roger Redetzke Obituary

In loving memory of Roger Redetzke of Waukesha, Wisconsin, who departed this world on May 18, 2025 at the age of 90. Roger leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Hilda; his wife Catherine Redetzke; his son Erik Redetzke; and his brothers, Merlin "Butch" Redetzke and Vinton Redetzke.

He is survived by: his father Roy; his son Kirk Redetzke (Casey Sterling); and his grandchildren, Torsten, Ava and Kieran. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Burial for Roger and Catherine will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10 a.m. In honor of Roger's memory, memorial contributions can be made to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church (http://www.christtheservant.org) or Wisconsin Public Radio (https://give.wpr.org).

“We first met Roger when Catherine introduced him at one of our class reunions (Class of 1956, Shell lake Public School). We got to know him better when they would come to Shell Lake and park in their motor home and host any of us who could make it either before or after our reunion. He always had something new to tell or for us to try (such as a Moscow Mule that he purchased special copper cups to serve it in). He and Cathy were excellent host and hostess when we would visit them.”
