It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of MaryAnn Koester of Waunakee, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of MaryAnn Koester to show support.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hrovatin and Katherine Hrovatin; her husband Arnold Koester; her brother Jack; her stepfather Frank Hageman; and her close friend Pat LaBerge.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen, Kevin, Karen Hickman (Leonard), Kristin Mumm (Larry), Karolyn, Mary Hampton (Jim), Marcia Frye (Terry), Angela Anderson (Will) and Lisa Bendorf (Kevin); and her stepsister Florence Lanter Spesard. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the CST St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church (5460 Mary Lake Rd, Waunakee, WI 53597). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the CST St. Clements Cemetery (6421 WI-81, Lancaster, WI 53813).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Wisconsin Public Television.
