He is survived by: his wife Carol Scherer of Waupaca; his son Scott Scherer (Hannah) of Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren, Kadyn Scherer and Finley Scherer; his brothers, Mark Scherer (Jean) of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Brian Scherer (Joan); and his stepchildren, Jeri Yoder-Spelman (Jim) of Rockford, IL, Jacki Johnson (Steve) of Waupaca, Anne Melk (Chris) of Waupaca and Brian Neely (Heather). He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
