She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmer Gertsmeier and Eva Gertsmeier (Huseman); her spouse Glen Nelsen; her children, Vicki Groth (Rick) of Waupaca, WI, Jeff Nelsen (Lois) of Kerman, CA and Mike Nelsen of Kittery, ME.; and her siblings, Charlotte Grothaus (Bob) of Sioux City, IA, Verdeen and Ordelle Gertsmeier. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
