He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Zienty and Carrie Zienty (Gielniak); his wife Evelyn Zienty (Florczak); his brothers, Sylvester and Henry (Evelyn); and his son Larry.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Peter Zienty, Jessica Henderson (Ben) of Dubuque, IA and Anna Zienty (Dan Luebke); his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Isla, Lilly and Oliver; and his sister-in-law Freda Michalak of Crown Point, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
