He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Wasserberg and Florence Wasserberg (Singher); and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Joan Kaufmann; his children, Jerry Wasserberg (Edie), Tommie Jayne Wasserberg and Betty Stauffer (Alan); his grandchildren, Jesse Wasserberg (Virginia), David Wasserberg (Mary), Sarah Boespflug (John) and Matthew Stauffer (Megan); his great grandchildren, Joseph, Olivia, Noah, Grace and Ava; and his brother Michael Wasserberg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials will be donated to local community organizations that Gene was involved with.
