He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Bierstaker and Lucille White; his stepfather Milford Carle; his half-brother Francis Peter Bierstaker; his children-in-law, Jay Heckler and Lisa Vander Maazen; and his grandson William Bierstaker.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Janet (Dennis Heinz), Michael and Thomas; his granddaughters, Elisabeth (Joseph Horning) and Isabelle Morrow; and his brother Lawrence.
