He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eugene Virta, Sr., Doris Ritari, Arne and Lillian Kirmo; his aunt Katherine; his uncles, Gary, Jeff, Mike, Jack and Ron; and his cousins, Eric, Jodie and Jessica.
He is survived by: his parents, Gene Virta of Marquette and Sandra Virta (Kirmo); his daughter Karianna Gracie Virta of Munising; his sister Lynn; his brother-in-law Jason Ghiringhelli of Marquette; his sibling's children, Sophie Coxon, Carter and Cameron Ghiringhelli; and his stepgrandfather Carl Ritari of Marquette. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a fund set up in her name.
