He was predeceased by: his parents, Agaton Merones and Juana Merones (Soberano); and his siblings, Efren Merones and Precila Mendoza. He is survived by: his wife Nilda Sumagui; his children, Jenifer Barbeau (Eugene), Janice Merones, Genevieve Buenaobra (Erwin) and Julie Ann Merones; his grandchildren, Justin, Calvin Barbeau, Joaquin Inigo Merones and Alexandra Venice Merones; his siblings, Perlita Dula, Rolando Merones, Jomar Merones, Mylene Merones and Charry Merones; and his siblings-in-law, Arance Mendoza and Rosita Merones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
