Betty J. Bruins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J. Bruins (Waupun, Wisconsin), who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty J. Bruins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Zande and Henrietta Boerson Vande Zande; her husband Glenn Bruins; her son Paul Bruins; her siblings, Ruby Braun (Willard), Jessie Vanden Berg (Russell), Helen Vande Zande, LaVerne Vande Zande, Dave Vande Zande (Marie) and Henry Vande Zande; her siblings-in-law, Elton Bruins, Henry Bruins (Joan), Joyce Vande Zande (Tony) and Cynthia Redeker; her niece Jane Nitschke; and her nephews, Gary Vande Zande and Mitch Vande Zande.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Bruins (Paula), Susan Shulfer (James) and Lisa Semrow (Herb); her daughter-in-law Debbie Bruins; her grandchildren, Ben Bruins (Sarah), Dan Bruins (Ashley), Peter Bruins (Susan), Adam Bruins (Rhiannon), Megan Wierl (Andy), Kyle Shulfer (Meghan), Emma Biever (Nick), Melissa Czerwinski (Matthew), Mary Helland (Andrew) and Carl Semrow (Paige); her great grandchildren, Jonah Bruins, Asher Bruins, Esther Bruins, Trey Bruins, Laney Bruins, Nora Bruins, Malyn Bruins, Leo Wierl, Milo Wierl and Lila Shulfer; and her siblings-in-law, Lorraine Vande Zande, Elaine Bruins, Betty Bruins and Harold Redeker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Alto Reformed Church (N3697 Co Rd EE, Waupun, WI 53963). A burial will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Alto Cemetery (N3697 Co Rd EE, Waupun, WI 53963).
