With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gwen Vander Galien of Waupun, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lauren Schaumberg and Evelyn Schaumberg (Voskuil); her husband David VanderGalien; her boyfriend Lester Buchholz; her daughter Kim VanderGalien; her sister Lisa; and her niece Alyssa.
She is survived by: her daughter Dawn VanderGalien; her grandchildren, Tyler VanderGalien (Karmen) and Makiya VanderGalien; her great grandchild Hunter VanderGalien; her siblings, Terriann Orr, Allen Schaumberg (Tami), Luann Benedict (Dennis Lacey), Dale Schaumberg (Jane), Patti Pucker (Eugene) and Jodi Kreuziger (Owen); her aunt Phyllis Prellwitz (Doug); and her pet Charlie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kohls Community Funeral Home (405 W Main St, Waupun, WI 53963). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kohls Funeral Home (405 W Main St, Waupun, WI 53963).
