He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Wallendal and Caroline Neumann Wallendal; and his wife Bonnie Beekman. He is survived by: his children, Peggy Barker (Steve), Lori Christman (Ron), Nancy Wallendal, Dean Wallendal (Angie), Brian Wallendal (Terri), Mark Wallendal (Tammy) and Michael Twardokus; and his siblings, Donald Wallendal, Samuel Wallendal (Joanne) and Vera Tollefsen. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
