He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Harter and Cecelia Harter (Pongratz); his wife Lillian Mackowey; and his sister Marian. He is survived by: his children, William Harter and Christine Ellison (Milton); and his brother James. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (229 S 28th Ave, Wausau, WI 54401). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
