With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence Ervin Nigbur of Wausau, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lawrence Ervin Nigbur to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nigbur and Doris Nigbur (Tryba); his siblings, William "Bill" Nigbur (Margaret), Caroline Pieper (David) and Lucille "Lucy" Lunt (Howard); and his brother-in-law Pete Stanke.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Wegner; his daughter Linda Nigbur (Jim Zajdel); his granddaughter Taylor Zahrt (Ian Hunt); and his siblings, Wally Nigbur (Jean), Connie Stanke and Jan Kreibich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Anne Catholic Church (700 W Bridge St, Wausau, WI 54401). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the St. Michael Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Anne Catholic Church or Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
