He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Hanks and Mary Hanks; his son Scott W. Hanks; his grandson Christopher J. Gerard; and his sister Nancy Stolen.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Hanks (Schroeder) of Wausau; his daughter Leanne Heilman; and his grandson Daniel Garcia.
