He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Wallander and Lucille Bliesner; his sister Shirley Ann; his nephew Michael Allen; and his sister-in-law Carol Wallander.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy (Neubauer); his children, Michael, Brian (Jenna), Gregory (Andrea) and Karen Bernhardt (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Lizzie, Mason, Dylan, Annabelle and Owen; and his brothers, Richard and Tom (Beth). He is also survived by cousins, nieces.
