Michael Ray Immekus Obituary
Michael Ray Immekus, 69, of West Allis, Wisconsin, passed away at Froedtert Hospital on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Michael was born on June 3, 1956, to Gerald Immekus and Lois Staszak (Immekus) (nee Johnson). He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin alongside his brothers and later built a family of his own. He married the love of his life, Patti (Patricia, nee McAdams), and together they shared over 31 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Michael dedicated 40 plus years of hard work at Briggs & Stratton before fully retiring. Known for his strong work ethic and loyalty, he was admired by all who worked beside him. Beyond his career, Michael lived a life full of many passions. He loved fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling, riding his Harley, restoring classic cars, spending time with family and friends and enjoying his beloved lake house. He had a remarkable talent for building, creating, and fixing just about anything.
Michael was an entrepreneur. In company with his full-time employment, he also owned and operated income property, offered handyman service, and one of his proudest accomplishments, fulfilled his dream of owning a restaurant at the Wisconsin State Fair—Leadfoots—which perfectly combined his love for cars, food, and laughter. It quickly became more than a business; it was a gathering place where he shared stories, welcomed friends, and created lasting memories.
Michael will be remembered for his joking sense of humor, the stories he told, and the joy he brought to every gathering. His family and friends will forever treasure the countless memories he gave them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, and his brother, Jeffery. He is survived by his wife, Patti; his mother, Lois; brothers, Steven (Lorna) and Joseph (Juli); daughters, Carol (Jeremy), Holly (Tom), Cassandra (Ryan), and Kelly (Adam); grandchildren, Dalton (Mary Kate), Seth (Shelby), Aria (Justin), Angelina, Ethan, Dylan, Selah, Alayna, Sylas, Isla, and Theo; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Symphony, and Kathryn; and many other beloved family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
