He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Joseph Buettner and Mary Marie Ellingston Buettner; and his siblings, Ray John Buettner, Ken Buettner, Jeanette Olla, Ruth Johnson and Patricia "Pat" Fischer.
He is survived by : his children, Raymond Buettner (Julie), Pamela Gresbach (Todd), Phillip Buettner (Lisa) and Charles "Chuck" Buettner (Trish); and his grandchildren, Sara Connolly (Sean), Hannah Buettner (Derek Sword), Josh Buettner (Kelly), Catarina Buettner (Tim Meeks), Casey Gresbach, Noah Buettner (Abbi), Rachel Buettner, Emma Buettner, Claudia Buettner and Ella Buettner. He is also survived by twenty-eight nieces and nephews.
