He was predeceased by : his parents, Edson Graves and Beverly Graves (Kranendonk); his brothers, Edson Graves Jr. and Gerrit Graves; and his brother-in-law Garland "Bud" Thomas.

He is survived by : his siblings, Gregory Graves of Greenup, IL, Steven Graves of Fond and Marlene Thomas of Anthony; and his nephew Owen Thomas of Chesapeake.
