She was predeceased by: her parents, Adin Hopballe and Ethel Hopballe (Wacholtz); her siblings, Robert, Kenneth Hopballe and Gloria Miller; and her stepsons, Thomas and Ronald DuPree.

She is survived by: her husband Henry Burkey of Whitewater; and her children, Victoria Harjung (Dan), Brenda Lee Weaver (Ricky) of Elgin, IL, Donna DuPree of Elgin, IL and Daniel DuPree of Elgin, IL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
