He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Hale and Mamie Flossie Johnston (Blankenship); his sons, Billy Johnston and Chris Johnston; his grandson Michael Scites; and his siblings, Yvonne Goodman, Effie Kirk, Flossie Cook, Mary Kinder, Garnet Depta, Lockard Johnston and Delbert Johnston.
He is survived by : his pet Sadie; his son-in-law Gary; his wife Sharon Johnston (Elam); his daughter Kimberly Miller (Gary) of Accoville; his grandchildren, Gary H. Miller (Tiffany), Christopher Johnston (Shannon), Angel (Josh Lowe), Daniel Balt and C. J. Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Alexandria, Tristen Miller, Zaiden Files Johnston, Trevor Lusk, Noah Lowe, Remi Jo Lowe and Cordelia Collins; and his siblings, Roy Johnston, Tim, Tracy Johnston and Anna Bebee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
