It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Joyce (Bowman) Parsons (Alum Creek, West Virginia), who passed away on December 14, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her spouse Fint Parsons; her parent Opal Bowman (Fint Parsons); and her siblings, Beverly Ryan and Charles Bowman. She is survived by : her daughters, Cindy Cooper (Tris) and Molly Neider; her grandchildren, Adam Turner (Kate), Brandon Turner (Rebecca), Cole Ackerman (Sarah) and Jill Hutchinson; her great grandchildren, Henry, Jamie, Georgiana, Beatrice Turner, Sadie, Dash Turner, Samuel, Odessa Hutchinson, Lucy and Alexander Ackerman; and her sisters, JoAnn Loftis and Lillie Bowman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Union Mission, 503 Leon Sullivan Way, Charleston, WV 25301.

“Carol was an incredibly kind-hearted, loving soul. She was a dear friend to my mother and a surrogate “grandma” when I visited town years ago with my children. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with Carol and her love for Fint, her children, plus numerous grandchildren was always evident. May her bright light shine on in the hearts of all who loved her.”
