It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayborne Preston Runion of Alum Creek, West Virginia, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Runion and Minnie Dotson Runion; his former life partner Betty Browning Runion; his sons, David Runion, Ronnie, Dolin and Roger Webb (James Paul Runion); and his siblings, Joe Runion, Ernest Runion, Cecil Runion, Wesley Runion, Charles Runion, Ollie Runion, Ray Runion, Andrew Runion, Heddie Williams and Linda Green.
He is survived by : his wife Martha Runion; his children, Johnny Runion (Debbie) of Camp, Jerry Runion (Icy), Rickey Runion (Lisa) of Camp Creek, WV, Sid Fry (Sierra) of Coal River, WV, Ruby Creede (Ron) of Madison, WV and Della "Chrissy" Owens (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Lester Owen, John Owen and Mary Owen. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
