She was predeceased by: her mother Marigold Linville Atkins. She is survived by: her father Don Atkins; her former husband Joe Whitten; her husband James "Bob" Elkins; her son Bruce Alan Whitten; her brothers, Billy Atkins (Carolyn) of Morgantown and Ted Atkins (Margie) of Alum Creek; and her pet Percy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Peter's United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
