He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert Knight, Sr. and Lessie Knight (Robinson); his wife Betty Louise Knight; and his siblings, Jim Knight and Helen Hutchinson.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Knight of Vero Beach, FL, Bruce Knight of Vero Beach, FL and Sheri Knight of Huntington, WV; his grandchildren, Patrick Knight and Kayla Abu-Hadid; and his sister Phyllis Fargo.
