He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin and Annie Marcheline Yost Tritapoe; and his former wife Catherine Elizabeth Padgett Tritapoe. He is survived by: his children, Dwight David Tritapoe of Great Cacapon, WV, Rebecca Ann Sims of Bonneau, SC and Paula Maxine Edwards Tritapoe of North Charleston, SC; his stepsons, William Sterner of Hancock, MD and Mark Somerfield of Andes, NY; his grandchildren, Clint W. Howard of Charleston, SC and Catherine Edwards of Charleston, SC; and his stepgrandchildren, Kelly Patel of Erie, PA, Jonathan Sims of Bonneau, SC, Bethany, Jordan and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by one great grandson and six step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
