It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Josephine Bruce (Bluefield, West Virginia), born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on July 8, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel Henry Preston, Jr. and Jane Harman Preston; and her siblings, Jane Preston "Jinnie" Roper, Ann Preston Vick and Samuel Henry Preston III.
She is survived by : her former life partner Charles E. Belcher of Bluefield; her husband Garland Bruce; her children, Charlie Belcher (Jayne), Jay Belcher (Sharon), Jane Dobson (Jerry) and Preston Belcher (Laura); her grandchildren, Katherine Tierney, Jarrett Dobson, Patrick Dobson, Charlie Belcher III, Paige Sexton and Robert Belcher; and her close friend Ather Dye.
