She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Ross and Martha Ross; her husband Rev. Earl Burgess; and her sons, Roger and Earl Jr..

She is survived by: her children, John (Linda), Nellie (Bernard), Jackie and Linda. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.
